Broken Skin Therapy

Hello, my friends. I have been away for a few months due to my big move too Japan. I finally made it and will start back posting in June. I have so much in store for us over the next few quarters. If you have any comments or questions, please feel free to send me an email!

A few months ago I was on reddit, in the acne community page and a man posted a picture of his mild to severe acne asking for help and spoke about his lack of confidence due to suffering from acne. On the post, there were a few people that commented how it wasnt that bad and give this young man various products that may help but there was one comment that read something of the lines of, "you're a man, people arent focused on your skin." Are societal beauty standards higher for women than men? I want to emphasize that millions of men and women can be affected by the challenges of acne, and experiences may vary.

This forum post isnt intended to demean dermatologists, I have personally had at least one good dermologist out of the many that I've had. I was always put on various treatments, a ton of medications, I even took accutunce. After many years of trying to figure out why I was suffereing from acne, I realized I had a soy allergy. I overstand that it is my body and it is ultimatley up to me to take care of my body but are dermatogists aware that maybe... just maybe one's acne is more of an internal thing (for SOME people) and whats being consumed as opposed to just the surface? Futher into my research, I am discovering more and more people with allergies to soy, who once suffered from acne. If acne is cured, how else would money be made?
